Hello and Happy New Year, well here is a rundown of myself, I have been teaching part-time and developing program content for the Coast Community College District since 2005. I was elected to serve as the Coast CCA President in August 2018 and will do my best to represent all part-time faculty members. I have been active on bargaining teams, acted as a grievance officer and steward, and taken cases from the informal level all the way to binding arbitration. I have been teaching geology at the college and university levels since 1989. In addition to teaching geology, I have taught geography, environmental science, oceanography, history and computer programming at the college level throughout Southern California. I am also educationally qualified as a certified financial planner and have consulted with a number of state and local unions and individuals with regard to CalSTRS, CalPERS, OCERS and UCRS retirement systems. I look forward to making continued positive strides for our local unit.
